For the past three nights, I have been performing in my schools Christmas pantomime and tonight was the last night. I am in sixth year and it was my final panto as a secondary school student. It was an amazing experience, but that is not what I want to talk about.
Tonight, after the performance and I came home, my Mam comes into my room and congratulated me again and she had tears in her eyes. She told me how proud she was of me and brought up the fact that it was my last panto ever. She just told me how proud she was of me for who I have grown up to be. And I can not begin to thank her enough for being there and helping me be that person.
I always here people complain about there parents, that they embarrass them or stop them from doing something. But one thing I've always known is that parents are not there to hinder us, but to help us. They are always there and will do anything for us and we never give them enough thanks. We would be lost without them and I just hope in the future there is someway I can repay them, and I hope that these words will inspirer you too.
